My son’s did the same thing. Looks like they found this oversight(?) and corrected it.

I guess adcom caught wind of these, and changing back the status message. But, I still think those people that have their status messages changed before, should expect good news.

My Daughter’s did too…hope this is not bad news! Not nice to get everyone’s hopes up and then change it! We’ll see when the mail comes today, we live in norcal, so if she is to get a package, it should come today or tomorrow. Will advise when/if we receive.

Yeah. The same happened to me too. Just going to see if anything comes in the mail this week. If not, I’ll be waiting around till March. Still hoping for the best though

My D’s status changed to the generic/original. This is not nice USC!

Agree 2018dad! My daughter was excited beyond belief on Sat…now this. Hope it is just a glitch!

We just talked to Admissions for something completely different. My very sweet and unassuming husband mentioned the status change discussion. The admissions person said that it doesn’t mean anything, but he knows there is a lot of speculation about it. He said he is not allowed to discuss scholarship info for 10 days. Ok so I think 10 days allows everyone the time to get the packets received. Well, frankly I still believe the status change means good things.

Wow this just revived my hopes.^^^^^

Son just received a big, fat package from USC. Promised I wouldn’t open it until he gets home from school. He had the change in status this weekend. We are in Florida.

Congratulations to your son! If you don’t mind can you connect to your son’s USConnect and see his application status and see if it still has the “acted on your app”? Thanks.

The message changed back to the old one earlier today.

Mine changed back as well. The packet I got in the mail told me to choose an Explore USC date from the Events menu, but USC Explore isn’t listed.

^^Thank you. I should have read the previous page. You mentioned it this morning. I just got back from our mailbox. No mail yet. This is torture! I’m supposed to be working. Now I can’t concentrate and can’t do anything done.

That is good news…hopes are still up!!

I agree @Cavmom!

2018dad…we are in SF Bay area too…we will have to compare notes later. Our mail comes late!

I feel like the change in status was probably an error/oversight on USC and they didn’t mean to do that. If your status did change over the weekend, there is probably a very good chance you are admitted now. No idea of scholarship offers until that package is opened. It is sitting on my counter, staring at me intently! Can’t wait for son to get home and end this torture. He should be NMF, so he has that already. He will be so excited and I am so excited for him! CS/Game Design in Viterbi is his first choice.

18yrcollegemin , Congrats! was the mail sent priority mail?

Yes, priority mail.

Did not arrive today here in MD. Sigh. Status was changed over the weekend, so remaining hopeful.
