<p>Do you really need Math 294 for it?</p>
<p>Resnick has the reputation as one of the most difficult and jerk professors in engineering. He taught 270 in the fall of 2004 and set the mean at a C. His notes are written basically in all mathematical notation without almost no explanation, and he simply does not give enough practice problems. </p>
<p>And you do need a bit of 294 knowledge for the last part of the course, but its only stuff like basis/matrix math/etc. I guess you can learn it yourself.</p>
<p>I would try to avoid taking 270 with him if you can. </p>
