Hi, I was wondering if anyone has taken this gov/pre-law course before? I am thinking about taking it next semester to satisy the distribution requirement CA-AS and because I find the topic to be intriguing. However, since it is a prelaw course in the law school, I don't want to naively take it and find it to be ridiculously difficult and a lot of hardwork. So I was wondering if someone could give me some insight into the course. Specifically:

1.) Did it have any sections with it? Or is it just two 75 minute lectures as indicated on schedulizer? (Some of the gov courses make you sign up for sections later.)

2.) Does the grading only consist of essays/term papers or are there prelims?

3.) How hard are the essays graded? (I have heard horror stories of some of the essay grading in certain other courses. I myself have taken a philosophy course before and was shocked initially at some of the comments on my paper.) (I also realize grading will vary depending on the TA but am asking for a general sense.)

4.) It says there are no prereq but since I have not taken any prelaw courses before, will I have a hard time in any way? (I am a pretty decent writer.)

5.) How was the workload? Were there essays or quizzes every week? Or was it spaced out? (A previous sylabbus online would be ideal but I don't think there is one.)

Thanks for the responses.
