Can someone tell me if this honors calculus class is much harder than the regular calculus class? Not worried about it being more difficult just dont want to have an extreme amount of homework because it is a honors....went through that in high school

An “H” calc class is classroom vs. lecture hall, and will be populated with “H” kids, so you must earn a “legit” A. I did 241H and loved it.

What’s the difference between 241H + 246H and 340-341? Other than the fact that one sequence covers the material in two semesters and the other in three; I’m asking about the rigor?

@n0vad3m0n, 340/41 covers 240/1/6 and some other topics in only two semesters. So you save a class period for something else. Were you invited? Last year it was by invitation only.

That’s the only difference? That’s not bad then.

I guess you could say I was “invited” - they sent me a photocopied letter listing some courses (ranging from 130 to 340-341) and said if I was interested in the 340-341, I was to email such and such explaining why I could handle the sequence, as it was “first come first serve”. I did and they granted permission.

plumazul: Are you in 340/41?

^ No, I’m a chem major. MAT241 was my last math course (unless I decide to do something like non-Euclidian geo or number theory for fun) :)
