Has anyone taken Sociology 3AC with Prof.Brain Power?

Has anyone taken Sociology 3AC with Prof.Brain Power? Do most people really go out and interview a people for the paper one?

Is this a serious thread?

Haha, he/she is talking about Prof. Brian Powers in the Sociology department. I assume it’s serious.

what a cool name

hahah major typo, bear

lolll, sorry everyone. Just realized it’s Pro.Brian Powers!

For the paper, yes, you will actually have to find a suitable subject for interviewing, at least an individual that qualifies under the characteristics to be studied in the paper outline. The class is frequented by athletes, that should give you an idea on the rigor of the class (which is nonetheless rather informative - 2 readers actually).

I am no longer interested in your thread

Noodles, you may want to look at this thread http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/university-california-berkeley/954661-five-worst-classes-youve-taken-cal.html

One user listed Soc 3AC as one of the worst courses.

I cannot fathom how Sociology 3AC with Powers could be an all-time worst course at Cal.

I posted that Soc3AC was one of the worst classes I’ve taken.

I again attach this link: [Brian Powers - University of California Berkeley - RateMyProfessors.com](Brian Powers at University of California Berkeley | Rate My Professors)

Take this how you will, but know that the majority of people come out of this class hating Sociology. It’s a shame because the material is incredibly interesting, but Powers is just such a bad professor.

Hi jojomonkey: Did u think most ppl in the class actually found real interviewees or just made up one for the first paper?

I know many made theirs up. But I also know a lot who found real people.

Ultimately, if your argument is convincing, it shouldn’t really matter. Obviously, you will have to be slightly more meticulous if you make a person up.

Can anyone help me out that which reading should I read for the paper #1 if it’s only 5 days left from the due day? I appreciate~
