has anyone transfered from a cal-state to a uc?

is it doable...i go to CSULB and i want to transfer to UCI
my major is engineering [aerospace or mechanical]

Its absolutely doable.

do you kno anybody who has transfered from a cal-state to a uc?
i want some advice lol

i knew a person who transferred from SDSU to Cornell if that helps.

San Jose State > Berkeley

1) Plan ahead. Make sure classes you are taking are transferrable. Cross-check with assist.org to get an idea of what transfers (even though it does not list transferrable classes between CSUs and UCs). Call individual departments in Irvine if you have to, talk to transfer advisors, and get their approval for each class if you want to be sure you're on track.

2) Maintain good GPA. Like 3.8+

3) Finish as many GEs and major pre-reqs as possible

4) Ignore advisors from school you intend to apply to who say "even though you have a high GPA your chances of getting in from a CSU are very, very slim."

5) Apply. Cross Fingers. Good luck!
