Is UCI easy to get in? I'm planning to go to either Cal Poly Pomona or UCR this fall, so I was wondering if it was hard to get into UCLA or UCI from any Cal States or another UC. Please post your stats if you have transferred. Thank you! And congrats to the recent UCLA admits! :)

this might depend on your major and gpa. If possible, you could go to a community college and sign a TAG if you’re dead set on attending UCI. Otherwise, you can focus on getting a strong GPA at Cal Poly Pomona or UCR. It’s completely possible, even though people say it’s difficult. There are even engineering majors with 3.8 gpas who get accepted to UCs from state schools. GPA is the main factor that you should rely on to get accepted

just got admitted to ucla.

from ucsd with a 3.43
math/econ
all prereqs complete

I just got in to UCLA with a 3.53 GPA from UCI

i just got into ucla from uci also with a 3.75. It is easier for community college students, but if you do work hard and get good grades, there have been alot of successful transfers this year

just got in UCSB, UCI, and UCLA from Cal State Long Beach, 3.8 GPA

Hi,

I got accepted to UCI, UCSD, UCSB, and UCD from Cal poly pomona.

If you have thoughts of transferring to a UC, I recommend that you go to a community college first because it is much, much easier process. In some ways, I regret going to Cal Poly Pomona because it would’ve been smarter/cheaper to go through a cc first.

wow nice job people from UCI to UCLA. i had a 3.667 my first quarter there, but i left for cc. im hella screwed in my cc now though so i might end up going to SJ State

Iildimsum7

@_@" why are you screwed in your CC?

it’s easier to get in from a community college, but if you work hard at a UC, the good thing is your gpa doesn’t reset and all your classes transfer over

UCR to UCI , GPA was around 3.30-3.40 Business Econ

It also depends on your major!

i talked with an adviser at my school (UCSC) today and she said its not so much a high GPA that they are really focused on looking for, its mainly that you are keeping up with classes that your major requires. i told her that i was rejected by UCLA probably for my GPA being low and thats what she told me. same goes for why Irvine rejected me

UCR to UCLA

womens studies
3.38 gpa.

low gpa but i have non impacted majorrrr.

Wow, do you think the mathematics major is considered “impacted” as well?

mathematics is not an impacted major at ucla.
