Has anyone watched the movie "Freedom Writers"?

I'm thinking of watching it tomorrow cuz a lot of people say it's really good and is really unlike the other "preaching movies" due to the fact that it's based on true story. I heard some even cried.

So... without spoiling the movie for me (well I dun really care cuz I basically know what the movie is about and this is not the type of movie that would have a surprise ending), can anyone who watched it tell me how good or bad the movie was and whether it's worth paying $9.00 to watch it?

thnx.

But it is a preaching movie.

It's like "Finding Forrester" in a school system.

So are you saying it's good or bad?

I haven't seen it so I can't say for sure, but I would bet money that it is bad. But if you have bad taste, then you will probably like it.

Is this a joke?

I didn't mean to bash "Finding Forrester."

I'm saying that the movie will be bad.

I saw the movie last night and I thought it was pretty good. If the teacher actually did all those things to get the students to all of a sudden change their behavior and approach to education, that's miraculous. It's kinda cheesy but it's a good movie.

I saw it, and I thought it was really good. I usually watch movies like House of Wax (the remake), and the Scary Movie series.....but I thought I'd go see Freedom Writers because it was made by MTV Films.

It is definately worth the money. I would go see it for sure. And go see The Hitcher next week.

Yes --- except it was called 'Dangerous Minds' at the time.
