Has anyone who was deferred EA heard RD?

My DH, DD and I are all getting frustrated, extremely anxious and impatient to find out
decision info from Fordham. When do they let the deferrals from EA know whether they are accepted RD? Has anyone received any info as of yet?

Fordham is my DD's first choice and she cannot even consider another of her 9 acceptances until she finds out if she will be able to attend at Fordham.
She applied to 11 schools and is waiting to hear from BU and Fordham.

I have heard some have already received RD acceptances. Does thsi mean they are in the mail?

Thanks
A concerned and anxious mom

Its normal. This happens every year. Fordham notifies the vast majority of its RD pool applicants, as well as deferred EA applicants, near the last week of March. So you have between one week and perhaps up to two to find out. I dont know when the mailings go out precisely, but it will be very soon. You will have a month to notify them of your decision, if you are accepted. May 1 is the FINAL notification date, so don’t miss it. Or they will give your spot to someone on the long wait list.

Most colleges will start sending out notices either this week or next. Its an anxious time for everyone. We empathize. But you will get through this. Everyone does.

Best of luck to your daughter.

Congrats on the other acceptances.

Pick the school which is the best fit, but make sure to attend the orientation for accepted students at Fordham in April if she is accepted. Its well worth the visit.

I was deferred EA, and haven’t heard back RD yet. I spoke to Admissions today, and they said they’re trying to get everything mailed out by next week. The wait is killing me! Hope this helps.

They mail in batches. They had 27,000 applications this year, a record even by Fordham’s continuous record standards.

My guess is some go out on Monday of next week. Followed by batches throughout the week. They do tend to notify acceptances before rejections and waitlist letters, I believe. But that is not a hard and fast rule.
