has anyonee got accepted for fall 2011???

what was everyone's stats?!

Hey!

My decision finally posted today, and I got in!

Stats:
SAT 2040
WGPA: 3.63
Weighted Academic GPA (What USF looks at): ~3.8

I have been checking constantly for the past week!

How do you know what your weighted academic GPA is?
And it only took a week for a decision? That’s nice. :)

I should have clarified. I applied in late august, and they usually start accepting people on 10/1. So i started checking then.

Weighted GPA is + 1 for each grade for AP, IB, and Dual Enrollment.
.5 for honors classes

IE an A in AP Biology would be counted as a 5, a b in honors would be a 3.5, and a regular b is a 3.

did anyone apply by sending there transcripts through the mail? and if so how long did it take for your application status to say they were recieved

Yeah I’d like to know who gets accepted  Good luck

I mailed mine in early Sept, and they had them received and processed within 3-4 days. Processing is probably longer due to volume at this time of the year.

Submitted my application today (online) but still waiting for it to be processed so I can go in and pay the fee. Transcripts should be sent in a few days. How long do you think it will take for a decision?

Also, I’m posting my stats in threads like this for the colleges I’m applying to so if you could let me know what you think I’d appreciate it.

Here are my “stats”:

1900 / 2400 SAT

30 ACT

I think it’s going to be like a 3.4 GPA, not sure on the specifics (like weighted / unweighted).

I’m starting up the student council at my school and I did SC at my previous high school. No other EC’s though.

Volunteering at my old school and currently at the Zoo.

Pretty good essays I think.

RPicard,

You should get in with no problem. USF and the other public universities in FL look at you weighted academic GPA. So this would be all of you English, Math, Science, Social Science, and Foreign language classes on a 5.0 Scale, with AP, IP, AICE, and DE weighted 1.0 and Honors weighted .5.
You will probably be eligible for honors @ USF.

This grid should help you, and anyone else who is wondering whether they will be admitted:

Thanks, I actually got that grid from another post somewhere already and it made me feel better. lol

Do you think I’m likely to be picked for any automatic scholarships?

I got accepted!

UW GPA: 3.8
W GPA: 4.125

ACT: 29
SAT: 1060/1630

4 APs, lot of honors, no EC.

They also gave me the scholarship for Honors program !

(but i won’t be attending USF)

accepted today. :)

^^ stats please!

if on my application status it says it was recieved 10/15 when do you think il here back from them? im very impatient lol

In the next few days it should have your decision. If I’m not mistaken, they recieved everything from me on the 12th.

And about my stats, they’re not as great as the persons posted on here. I think what got me in was my GPA, AP/Honors/Dual enrolment courses.

UWGPA is a 3.5
WGPA: 3.8

abdc, what were your test scores? I’d like to know b.c we are in somewhat similar circumstances…I think lol.

1570 SAT (1050 with just CR + M)

23 ACT. (retook last sat. will have new scores soon)

Alright I just got my SAT scores back got a 1100/1690 with a 3.66 USF gpa what are my chances?

^Your chances are very good if your high school coursework was rigorous and you’ve already submitted app to USF, chances are good if you send in an app before Thanksgiving, chances are zero if you don’t apply! Good Luck! Attached is USF’s admission matrix thingee, you can pretty much figure out your chances from it–remember admissions has leeway in what they can do and certainly can use secondary criteria in making admission decisions.

I’ve taken all honors since 10th grade and I’m in all DE, AP, and honors this year!
