Has anyone's November SAT registration been cancelled?

Hello!

Has anyone’s November 2016 SAT registration been cancelled and moved to May 2017 ‘due to the new security policy’?

I registered to take the SAT in Hong Kong. And then I received an email from College Board to take a survey for them to verify my eligibility to take the test. I completed it. Last Friday I got an email from SAT Support saying they’ve cancelled my registration, and if I register again, it will automatically be cancelled. The person that emailed me didn’t leave me any email or number to contact anybody. But I nonetheless replied to that email and told them I think it’s a mistake because I’m just a high school senior trying to take the SAT so I can apply to colleges this year. I also called the college board and they filled out a report to me.

Now they say the decision is final (in an email), and I can’t even appeal. But they didn’t ask me for any documentation or verify with my school. They just said it was final. I called College Board again and they said the ‘higher department’ has already read the report and made a final decision and there was nothing they could do for me.

I was going to apply to a college early decision, and the SAT is required. (I told them that as well of course, but they won’t let me take the SAT).

I’m so confused and stressed right now I don’t know what to do. I’ve emailed the colleges I want to apply to, and they said I should try talk to College Board. (I already did)

Anyone going through the same thing?
Thanks.

Also, I’ve only been prepping for the SAT. And I score significantly higher on the SAT than the ACT. So that’s out of the question.

Your test has been cancelled because of major security lapses in the 2016 SATs. Collegeboard reuses its tests: A test administered in May in the US might be be reused for China’s November administration. They believe that you are a non-traditional student (though I dunno why) They think you will pass on the test questions to others. If you tell me what was asked in the survey, I might be able to help you out.

The decision, unfortunately, is irrevocable.

You are probably telling the truth, and as frustrating as your current predicament might be, there is nothing you can do to change it.

Whatever the reason may be, in the eyes of the College Board, you are nothing more than a malevolent cheater whose intentions of taking the SAT are purely malevolent.

I would try filing a formal complaint with the U.S. Embassy in Hong Kong; if that doesn’t work, write an impassioned letter to Donald Trump for support and, of course, vote for him!

Good luck.
