I called them on the 15th, a nice guy in admissions stated that decisions would start coming out that day and continue until April 1st. I don't want to call again....anyone else will to and post what they say?

I called. The admisisons guy said "sometime before the 31st" "we can't be more specific" I told him there were thousands of kids out there checking the website frantically, reloading, getting up in the middle of the night to check. I said it reflects badly on the university and that other colleges are more specific in their admission decision dates. (and on and on) I suggested they update their site to give specific information and stick with it. I give up!

aw thank youuuuuu on behalf of us :)

wow, you really said all that? how did he/she respond?

he responded "I'm very sorry" I even told him that the whole fiasco with putting the website down and then moving it on Friday was akin to torture.
I do think it does reflect badly on them and told them so, of course it won't makeany difference

well i mean i guess we cant blame them (the guy(s) at admissions who answer phones) since they probs have no control over it and have probs received a million calls like that.

Maybe it's just me, but I highly doubt that they will release decisions before April 1st (then again, I could be wrong). But, I do wonder if it's because they're planning on releasing EVERYONE'S decision at the same time, or because they still haven't decided on whose getting in/not or being waitlisted...

i think either one of two things is delaying them (neither of which is who gets in and who doesnt)
1. scholarship decisions
2.honors program decisions

I agree with you twizzles147. That's probably what's stopping them. Either that or all the universities are waiting for all of their applicants to die of heart attacks, thus helping population control. :)

ahahahahahahahahahahahhaa a brilliant conjecture.

I called yesterday around 4 and I was hung up on twice! I'm starting to get really frusterated, I figured that it was because they were busy and were trying to have the decisions up by 6 but nope.. still not up.

hung up on? what just like midsentence?

If they're not giving any new info, it doesn't really help to call. I'm just assuming that Northeastern will come out with decisions eventually... and I'm not expecting them to come up until the end of this week, or even later (unfortunately). I know it's a long wait, but NEU isn't the only school to have "missed" a decisions release date (though they did technically say on the website that they would start releasing decisions by Thursday last week, but wouldn't release all of them).

haha I called today just to see if this would work... I said I was wondering when they would notify about admissions decisions and they said "by April 1st" and I said well if I dont respond to another school soon I would lose my scholarship there ...and then shes transfered me to a head guy or something and he was gone. I don't know whatever, It's getting annoying really. I think i'm just going to stop looking/hoping bc there has been no progress.

These people answering the phones sound really rude. Someone should call them up and be like "there's a bomb in the building" and quickly hang up. That'll show them.

HAHAH! That was freekin hilarious.

Imagine if they tracked the call...that would suck.

Yeah..bomb threats are always so hilarious :-P

I think everyone should stop making a big deal about this. They'll release them when they release them, it's not going to kill you if it's a week or two later than you thought. Go play video games or something.

i think it might, andymcgav thanks for the concern though!
