Has BC ever released Early Action decisions earlier than Dec. 25th?

Just wondering!

Look through the past years early action threads for BC on this forum. It was before Dec 25th, but you’ll be able to see the exact dates.

I think it depends where you live. I have to imagine they send all of the letters at the same time. So if you’re in California, you’ll get it before the 25th, but probably closer to the 25th. If you live in Massachusetts (like myself) then you’ll probably get it sooner. At least I’m telling myself that…

Okay, thank you!

I’m sure it’ll be early. I applied to gibbons good luck!

My brother applied 2 yrs ago and got his around New Years, maybe the 29th or so? I’m hoping we find out sooner this year though! Best of luck to you!

Hopefully it is! I’m so anxious to know!
Also, I’m nervous about finding out on Christmas, LOL :p

But good luck to both of you as well! :)

Does mail even come on Christmas? lol

Sorry, I was a little vague in my last answer…

I guess what I mean, is that I hope maybe the people who applied EA will receive a letter in the mail before Christmas, which is the day that it is implied that you will be able to access your admissions decision on the online portal.

Either way, it is what it is! I’ll still be very excited to know whether or not I was admitted on any day of the year.

Hello Gibbons.
My son is a third year BioChem major who loves BC. When he applied EA he received the acceptance envelope around Dec. 17th. As parents we viewed past CC post to learn more about the EA process. In the last few years, Boston College has made changes to your portal a few days before the big white acceptance envelopes are mailed out. We noticed changes to our tab about 2 days before the acceptance letter arrived.
My suggestion to all EA applicants is to routinely check your BC portal to see if a message “Pay Enrollment” tab is present. This has been a true indication of your acceptance to BC. If your tabs do not change then you have been deferred to “Regular Decision” or possibly wait listed, denied.
For the record my son came from a public high school and graduated 7/240. SAT score was 2110, ACT 32, SAT II Math(2) 780, Chem 760. Many APs and good community service.
Good luck to all EA applicant’s! Soar high future Eagles!
