CC is probably why I can afford college.

I learned about FAFSA, CSS Profile, various scholarships, when to fill out dates, and how…neither of my parents can speak English well so I had to fill out the financial aid forms for them! I just got the Fin Aid for my safety state-flagship, and I got all but 2k of the COA covered in Scholarships/Grant. So thanks everyone in CC, especially the Parents Forum and the Financial Aid Forum.

Also, CC has made me realize that a person doesn’t need a 4.0 UW to get accepted to a good college, and that soft factors like first generation and work experience are actually considered in for a lot of schools (my GC has given me a lot of bad information for four years, and thought that I could have only gone to a community college because of my income and life circumstances… )

But THANK YOU CC!

CC has made me waste more time and worry even more, but heck, I love it.

^ true! (I’m addicted to those countdown threads) lol, but it is a valuable resource
