Has Chicago recieved all your materials?

Just in case you guys didn't recieve the email, you can now log onto uncommonapplication.uchicago.edu/ and check to see what materials of yours Chicago has recieved. I'm not sure if paper-applicants can do this.

So far Chicago has recieved all my materials except my Math teacher's rec. Is all you guys' stuff in?

Nope, none of my three recs have been filed. But, I received this e-mail after contacting Chicago to clarify my additional rec and which one it was:

"We have not received your teacher recommendations yet. We have a large volume of mail to be processed. So keep checking the credential website for updates to your file. All additional recommendation are added to your file. Thanks for your patience."

However, my SAT's have been received (which is odd since I only sent them about a week ago!) as well as my transcript.

Glad I'm only applying, not filing and reviewing. :o

Let's bump this bizatch and get some answers.

I'm still waiting for both of my recs. How about everyone else?

I'm still waiting for that Rec. I'll give it until Wednesday then I'll either call Chicago or speak to the teacher.

Everything is listed as rec'd on my dd's application, except the teachers rec's which was sent far in advance, non-electronically. So perhaps they are backlogged and the U just hasn't keyed in those items as rec'd.

bettina,

Just what I wanted to hear...Well, sort of. My gut was sinking at the thought of my teachers mishearing me tell them the postmark deadline or something. :o

Where exactly is it listed what materials they've received? I don't see anything...

robbie,

Have you submitted your application yet? After you have, there will a link below the yellow content box like "Check Credentials" or something. Click it and all your materials will be listed.

Ii might be called "my account"

I can't find it

Goto this page: https://uncommonapplication-b.uchicago.edu/login.cfm

Upper left corner click: Check creditentials

They haven't received my SATs yet, even though I had them sent by College Board...should I worry?

What date did you send? Regular or rush service?

I wouldn't worry for at lease a few more days. It seems they get your online app. Then start processing the mail and keying in items received. I'm sure they still have a big pile to go through.

Phew. Chicago just updated my file with both recs (and a third rec which isn't listed on the site) having been received. I'm totally set. Now the "judgment cometh, and that right soon." Actually, it's not soon enough: I just wanted to use that awesome Biblical quote from Shawshank Redemption. :P

I still can't find it. All I have is a links saying preview submitted application, application fee paid, and preview submitted financial aid application. Now I'm really worried!!!!

There should be 3 links:

Preview Application
Check Credentials
Pay Fee

Click on Preview application. It should say "Your application is submitted". Then look on the left column on the bottom should be those 3 links listed above, in that order.

One more thing to worry about...dd sent in 2 science rec's. One is from physics and one is from a non-core science where she has tons of research and will be the standout "best student ever" type of recco. She meant this to be a supplement because we didn't know if it would count for math/sci rec, but she told me she gave him a math/science rec form. Now will they just take one? Or should she clarify by email.

bettina,

When I contacted Chicago to see if my Latin teacher's supplemental rec, which was submitted using the English/Social Studies form, would be accounted for and added to my credentials, I received this reply: "All additional recommendation are added to your file." Your daughter may, however, want to contact them via the, "If you have any questions regarding the credentials displayed on this page, please click here," link just to be sure everything is running smoothly.

ok thanks for that

Okay, Chicago has recieved all my recs. Phew.
