Has Harvard contacted anyone for an interview?

I submitted my Harvard application the day before the deadline (I know, it's better to be really early, but I just didn't have time), but I haven't been contacted for an interview yet. I've already been contacted by the other Ivy Leagues that I've applied to. Has anyone been contacted for a Harvard interview? Also, do they really try to give everybody an interview, or do they just say that?

It’s still early. Some people have already been contacted for an interview but one of my interviewer told me that the deadline for interview evaluations is in late February, so I suppose it’s about the same for all the Ivies. Don’t worry. They TRY but doesn’t mean they manage to do so with ten thousands of applicants.

Do they contact and interview better candidates first?

No. It all depends on when you submitted your application, where you live, how many interviewers are available.

Yeah depends on an availability of alums. I live in NYC so even though I submitted my application the last day, I got my interview like 2 days later.
My friend who’s in boarding school in rural New Hampshire still hasn’t been contacted .

Had my interview already. Admittedly, I submitted early December, but still.

I got contacted by an alum! I’m so relieved. Thanks guys!

I got an email from the local alumni club saying that an alumni would contact me within two weeks.

In any case, if they’re doing these this late, the interview must be more of an addendum than something major to an application (I wouldn’t blow it off in any case).
