That’s just silly. Stanford was founded by a dang robber baron… old money. As for innovation… two Harvard drop-outs (Gates and Zuckerberg) would probably dispute that.
I’m not saying Stanford doesn’t have an outstanding culture of entrepreneurship and innovation… it obviously does. But it’s hilarious to watch folks reduce incredibly diverse, complex, multifaceted institutions into silly stereotypes.
