Has it been snowing in Bloomington?

Just wondering if IU has had more snow than usual. I know they traditionally don't have as much as in the northern part of the state.

Check out today’s Indiana Daily Student. It has pictures of the campus covered in snow. It is available online.

And then picture hundreds of girls walking in it and waiting outside for 20 minutes at a time for sorority rush, which started yesterday. Brrrrr.

Indeed, and we’ve been going through rush in it. YAY!

Son is driving up from TN on Sunday. Anyone know road conditions on HWY 46 from I-65?

Hoosierfriend-I don’t often have reason to drive on 46 East, but in general they keep that road in pretty good shape since it’s the main road between Columbus(65), Nashville, and Bloomington. A friend of mine lives on 46 in Nashville. He tells me that it’s typically in pretty decent shape because it’s a state road. The state recognizes that it’s a curvy, hilly highway and acts to make sure it’s plowed and salted. Just tell your son to take his time as it’s supposed to be pretty frigid on Sunday which increases the possibility for ice. If he’s traveling in the daytime he should be fine.

Here’s a link to INDOT’s road conditions map.

[Indiana DOT Traveler Information](<a href=“INDOT Trafficwise”>INDOT Trafficwise)

It shows all roads leading to Bloomington are in fair condition, hopefully they’ll improve by Sunday. If the link doesn’t work, do a search on INDOT Traffic Wise.

My son is coming in from the northwest, so I’m keeping an eye on it too.

Thanks rrah and Izzie. Appreciate it.

For those new students thinking about IU,this is very unusual. There is usually not this much snow or cold in bloomington.
