Has online tutoring worked for you? Have you used Chegg Tutors, or Tutor.com, or WyzAnt?

I am looking for good tutors in English, Calculus, and Chemistry for an 11th grader. We have been happy with in-person tutoring before, and have never tried online tutoring, but we are now considering it because it seems online tutoring could be much cheaper and perhaps easier to schedule.

Have you tried online tutoring with Chegg Tutors, or Tutor.com, or WyzAnt? Did it work for you?

Which site would you recommend and what do you like best about it (or why did you pick that over other sites)?

I would be grateful for any advice from other parents of high-school students (or from students themselves) on what has and hasn’t work for you with online tutoring (and about the best site to use).

Thank you in advance for sharing your wisdom on this!

I use a website called ■■■■■■■■■■. Although the website does not completely revolve around tutoring (the website’s main purpose is to show members worked-out answers to textbook problems), there is an option to get either a peer tutor that is proficient in a certain topic or a professional tutor.
I have experience as a peer tutor and as a peer who is in need of tutoring, and I believe that this website works pretty well.

Eh… I feel like in-person is the best route. But if there is financial problems, I’ve used Chegg’s services so I can explain my time on that site. First off, not gonna lie, I think the $40 cost is totally worth it. They offer you all textbooks, homework answers, and tutoring. I used it mostly for figuring out what I was doing wrong for problems. I also used their English tutors. Based on my experiences, Chegg is really good for Math and Sciences… English? Not so much.

As @AMan236 stated Cheggs was great for math and science. Wyzant was a bit expensive in my opinion.
