It seems to me that there is a variety of visible protest movements at a variety of campuses, but overall, it is a very small percentage of the total. At most schools, there has been no shutting down of classes, or groups of people yelling at each other or issuing lists of demands or counter-demands.
Speaking of cost of education… at the vast majority of colleges and universities students likely are now studying for and taking exams, hoping for good results, and hoping to get the most of the education that they are their parents are paying outrageous sums for. And (I think) they are having interesting conversations about race, class, religion, gender and learning about all their own differences and similarities.
So I don’t know about drawing any overall conclusions. I guess I tend to agree with OHMomof2 at #6, with the caveat that in most cases, the kids hashing it out are doing so in low key manner.
