if yes, when did they start?
if not, when do they begin?

Yes. I do not know. My admissions representative's answering machine states how the admissions committee will be in full-fledged meetings until early March and all officers won't be able to take calls and only will be able to contact us in the evening hours. (At least that's what my college counselor says.)

Yes. Sub-committees began work around the beginning of the month, proceeding by region according to schedule.

when does the 35-member committee start to convene to vote on individual applications?

I dont think that there is a 35 member committee, according to a book i read it is closer to a few staffers and the director, the rest are busy reading apps

Which book is it?

it started already?????????// i am having my interview on march 2nd!!!!!!!!!!!! wut........

the title is on writing the college application essay, or something like that

While the subcommittees are meeting, the interview reports are needed for the full committee meetings, which occur later in March. The adcoms want the interview reports in time for the full committee meetings.

shoot...im still writing my deferral update letter...gunna try to send it out by this week. hope its not too late

i snet mine yesterday. :)

Aaahhhh, an admissions officer just e-mailed saying that they didnt receive my two main teacher recommendations!! Am I screwed?? Why are they only telling me this now?? The Harvard admissions website says that everything was received.

Call again. You are not screwed if it shows up that way in the website... it's their mistake and you won't be punished for it. What I would do is this:

Prepare an extra copy of your rec letters

Call again tomorrow to check if they really don't have it (maybe it was just misplaced for a while, who knows)

Send in your recs again.

Make sure you tell them that the website lists them as having been received, that you are not at fault.
