There are posts on CC dating back to 2005 about having your unofficial transcript load: apparently you can tell you’ve been accepted if this happens.
It makes sense: why create a transcript for a student you aren’t admitting? But, at the same time, why allow them to see it before they receive any official notification of acceptance?
Mine isn’t loading. I get the whole ‘this page is for UW students who attended from 1985 on…’ message, so of course I’m nervous.
Has the transcript thing every been verified? Do kids ever see unofficial transcripts and then end up rejected? How often? In the reverse, do people often receive an error message then get admitted?
This seems to be incredibly widespread, so I hope we have some concrete info about it.
@FueledByPaint It is on MYUW. After you log in, navigate to the admissions tab using the side bar, then in the bottom right there should be a box that has “After being admitted, Seattle” in the title block. The ‘unofficial trancript’ link should be the second item from the bottom of the list.
Alright I did some research and found this out. Your unofficial admissions page is only a sure sign of admission if you can view your 7 digit UW student ID on the top left corner.
It is possible that it is only loading for people who have taken college level classes. Mine is loading but I believe that is because I have taken a class and already have college credits. On the other hand I am fairly confident I will be admitted so who knows
