My daughter had an alumni interview set up with Brandeis and accidentally missed it. She is trying to reach the woman to reschedule. Has this ruined her chances with this college?

No, she should be really apologetic when she does get in touch with her and, hopefully, have a really good explanation. Then in the actual interview she needs to be very charming and upbeat.

If she ends up not being able to reschedule, it might negatively affect her, but I actually accidentally missed my interview with a college once as well, and they let me reschedule with no problem. It might (but not necessarily) be mentioned in her interviewer’s evaluation after she actually has the interview, but if it isn’t, then admissions officers probably won’t know. Make sure she really dresses up/shows interest when she does have the interview. Either way, it certainly won’t ruin her chances.

I hope not because I think otherwise it is a good fit for her qualifications. So far, she hasn’t heard back from the woman but it is the weekend right around the holidays.
