The question's in the title.

want these as well. think they come out in a week’s time.

having extensively studied application trends over the last decade i predict a record turnout of…(arbitrary number generator)…9453.2

should be released within this week. check the yale daily news.

I am scared… D:

Here are numbers from some other colleges:

Stanford: 7% increase
MIT: 14.4% increase
UChicago: 18.5% increase
Duke: 13.7% increase
Johns Hopkins: 13.8% increase
UPenn: 18.3% increase
Northwestern: 24.2% increase

As much as I’m hoping that because more people applied to the schools above, Yale won’t receive as many apps. But that’s probably false logic, so we’ll just have to wait and see.

^ewww at the above stats. Yale SCEA acceptance rate could very well dip below 13% this year.

^^holy **** wahhhhhh.

Stab me in the heart. :(

Just an arbitrary guess, but I have a feeling that the growth in Yale SCEA applicants will be less than that of Stanford REA applicants.

Why do they all have to grow so much??? :(

There’s been a significant increase at ED schools, and since Yale is single choice, it probably won’t go up by much more than Stanford like Jersey said

i’m going to have to guess that yale will see a drastic increase in early apps

Why’s that?

I agree with jgraider. I doubt that Yale’s will be much larger than Stanford’s because of the single-choice.

there’s a general trend of increases in the early apps to other schools. why would yale be any different?

oh, yeah, i would think the increase for yale is around the same as stanford’s. to me, a 7% increase is “drastic.”

Same general trend last year, Yale SCEA apps decreased. Assuming that Yale would have a large increase just because other schools do is just bad extrapolation.

touche, MrMeursault. i guess i was just hasty to assume the worst…and yet again, i demonstrate that i don’t have the chops to be at yayl

Why did Yale’s early apps decrease last year?

I’m so nervous!!!

I think it had something to do with the bad publicity the university sustained following the Annie Ye incident…
