Ok, I am an EE major and I really want to switch out. I am just not talented in comsci stuff. The stuff my friend spent 5 min on took me 4 hours(Im not kidding!). I spent over 40 hours doing the 3rd project and I probably can't finish it.

Is it too late to drop classes? I remember something about 4 weeks being the last week. But i really think Im gonna fail this class and get put on notice.

Stick with it, you won’t fail the class. I was in the same situation as you, I spent probably 40 hours on the DDR project and got 60 or 70%. You won’t fail the class unless you get an F. D- is pass too. Smallberg and Rohr don’t give many F’s unless you give up, miss some assignments, get under 25% on exams.

Just continue to work hard. Start projects early, get help from people (especially TAs). If you want to continue doing EE, switch to EE-Biomeb to avoid CS 32. You’re not the only one in your situation, so don’t worry about being ranked last.

i have a question about 31, how big of difference is it between smallberg and rohr? since rohr is always the only one teaching that class during winter, is it worth it to wait a quarter to take smallberg or does it not matter too much since material isn’t too hard? (or as so i heard)

Wow, this quarter’s CS 31 Project 3 is unusually difficult. If only you were allowed to use two-dimensional arrays of characters to store the picture, this project would be trivial.
