So..........
Before I start thinking about applying to colleges I want you guys to tell me my chances at each of those colleges and the ones I'll probably not got in.. I wnat around 6-8colleges so I can focus my essays/etc. on them. My favorite one by far is UVA...

most of my stats will be made around May with me re-taking SATI, taking 3 SATII's and 3 AP exams, and my rank changing after this year...

but just want a realistic picture of my chances and how hard it is to get accepted at the colleges

anyone (10 chars)

"International High IQ Society as 9th grader"

lol, you seem like an elitist

Well, at least to start you should take size into consideration. UVA and Chapel Hill are both ~20,000 students. UPenn and Duke, on the other hand, are more like 5,000. Some of the schools on your list are probably < than that. So decide if you want to go to a big or a small school. ^_^

the IQ thing was just a iq test thing onlien that i took and got it.. lol wat is an elitist?

and to ruca.. i know about the sizes i just wanna know where i have the most chances of getting in

I'm part of the international high IQ society (134), and it really doesn't say much. To be honest, your SATs are lacking, your ECs are not that great, and the fact that you don't know what an 'elitist' is, seems daunting to me.

Good luck self-studying for the APUSH test....its a doozy.

As of now:

UVA- slight match
UNC - Chapel Hill- match
Duke- reach
Johns Hopkins- reach
William and Mary- slight reach
VCU- match
NYU- slight reach
Rutgers- match
VT- match/in
Cornell- high reach
Princeton- reject
UPenn- high reach/reject

yeah lol i just copied an pasted from this thing.. im gonna take it out..
rutgers is only match? and i thoght william and mary is same as uva.. match/little reach... yeah i agree with the 3 bottom ivy's but i wann apply to one of them

"international high IQ society" LOL

city birds, have you taken any SAT IIs prior to May? if so what were your scores?

If you want to apply to an Ivy, Brown has an excellent Psychology/Neuroscience department.

You need those SAT scores to get into the 1400s if you want any of your top schools, I believe. UVA, UNC, Duke, Hopkins, NYU, W&M, Princeton, UPenn, Cornell? All of those schools are reaches except for UVA because you are in-state. Need more matches, I would say.

You need some safeties . I agree with sesquipedelian's assessment.
