I don
t know if this is the right thread or not but I need some opinions from other people. I
m not sure if I should take AP Statistics/Statistics since I
m already taking 3 years of math and am not sure if 4 years would be better for me. Math is my most worse subject ever and I
ve already got 1 D in my 2nd Quarter in one of my report cards in Geometry. I
m taking Advanced Algebra next year and am not sure if I
m good enough for Statistics. What is Statistics? Is it word problems with charts? If its word problems then I don
t think I
ll do well :( Since i can
t make an equation from the word problem and can only solve them in my head which is very time consuming in tests. If anyone can give me opinions or answer this I
ll be much appreciated. :)

I’d recommend taking AP Stat because you actually need it in college and in real life. It’s a very helpful subject. Plus, four years of math will make you a stronger student, even if math is your worst subject. If they see that you take the opportunity to challenge yourself, that D might not carry as much weight. All in all, I’d say go for it and make sure you study hard for the subject. AP Stat is not like regular math classes (algebra, geometry, calculus, etc). Perhaps you’ll find it interesting, and if it doesn’t work out, you can always drop the class.

Good luck!
