Does NYU send out mid year transcript requests? Because I just got my USC one, and was wondering if NYU does that to.

Thanks!

i am almost positive that NYU doesn't require Mid-Year reports...but I'm not 100% sure. you might want to call admissions or have someone else confirm this.

NYU does not require Mid-Year reports...I applied with their online application, and there is no mid-year report download under "Required Supporting Documents". A bit odd, in my opinion (the only school that I applied to that didn't want it), but I guess with all their 35,000+ applicants, additional materials like that are really just nightmares to process/file.

i think what diehldun meant was that if NYU had contacted people they wanted mid years from. its true that they don't require them but they do contact a select group of people who they would like to obtain one too. its usually for borderline people. you should only send in a midyear if they contact you telling you to send one in.

It's also odd that as a private University NYU does not ask for the CSS profile or their own fin aid forms. If they only had an on-line check your status area, they would be the nicest school to apply to.

I think my school just sends mid-year transcripts anyways to all schools you apply to. O well.

So basically, NYU would ask you for one if you were borderline? Anyone here gotten one?

I haven't gotten mine, so I hope that's good news...

.. we didn't have to send mid-year reports?! oh, damn. I sent mine on the common app form.

Just out of curiosity, roughly how many mid-year requests do they send out? Because at USC, it seems like everybody got one, whereas I haven't heard to many people getting one from NYU...

I haven't gotten one (yet), so is that good news?

haha i agree with diehldun, i didn't get an official midyear request from usc, but this other letter (long story go read the usc threads haha), but ya so definetely nyu does not request midyears?
