I retook Spanish. I took it last year and got a 3, so I took it again this year becuase I know I can do better. I did, however, take another year of Spanish this year even though it was independent study.

If I take calc BC and got a 3 and then took again and got a better score, would they both show up?

I retook World History this year
I got a 3 on it last year

Yes both scores will show up, but you can cancel one of the scores if you want

It doesn't really matter though. You only send your actual AP transcript to colleges AFTER you're admitted, so you can self report only your good scores.

For the AP scholar awards, I'm pretty sure that "all tests taken" means what it says, so you can't cancel an old score to raise your average for the awards that consider your average score across all AP tests taken. But, yes, I know of a few examples of students who retook AP tests, and the higher score is the one colleges will count insofar as colleges count AP scores.

My advice is just to self-report all your scores, and let your best scores make your case as the college considers scores.
