<p>Dayum, I thought Northwestern was my reach and UCLA (OOS) was a match. Maybe not.</p>
<p>Northwestern is probably less "numbers focused" than the UCs or evaluates with a criteria that places more emphasis on EC activities.</p>
<p>I was expecting to get rejected from a bunch of schools (I applied to ten), but only MIT rejected me.</p>
<p>misssuperfantastic, you're right, uc's use(d) a system where you had to get above a certain point value to be considered. not sure exactly if they're still doing it, but w/e</p>
