<p>It's not, you know, absolute confirmation that no one will hear before the middle of May, but the waitlist FAQ says: You should not expect to hear whether you are offered a space until the second week of May at the earliest.</p>
<p>Nothing yet for me either, though I've heard some colleges are already putting out their wait list decision... keep on waiting.</p>
<p>So I called today and asked if they had made any decision re: whether or not they'd even be using the list in the first place- the girl who answered said that they'd be starting to look this week.</p>
<p>Bartlet - starting to look at applicants (ie re-evaluating the pool of applicants considered active on the waitlist) or starting to look at whether or not they need to use the list?</p>
<p>Okay I am scared (:. I know we shouldn't hope too much but it is BARNARD! I will sell my left kidney to go there.</p>
<p>I think the girl on the phone said that they'd be looking at whether or not they need the list, and that if so, they'd start contacting at the end of this week or beginning of next week at the earliest.</p>

<p>Can someone call the Barnard admissions office and ask about what's going on with the waitlist? I've called quite a bit (and have even used other accents in the hopes of not being identified) but I fear that I'm starting to nag.</p>

<p>My counselor knows someone who used to work for Barnard, and she said that Barnard probably won't be turning to the waitlist right now because they have something like fifty too many students who enrolled.
