Have fun, Scavvers!

At midnight tonight, the annual Scav Hunt begins. Many of the houses will post to YouTube and such. I know of a couple folks who will not sleep again til Sunday after Final Judgment. Enjoy!

Scavvies, I think.

Tune in here tomorrow morning to view the list: http://scavhunt.uchicago.edu/</a> You can look at old lists today, if you want.

I can’t recommend this highly enough for '14ers and juniors thinking about applying. It’s a rich bit of documentary evidence of what life and humor at Chicago are like, and it lets you think about what kind of people would make up and then perform such tasks. At the University itself, many students wish Scav would fall off the face of the Earth, because it is noisy and intrusive and trashes the common rooms. They have a point . . . but they are wrong.

I humbly stand corrected! S1 just informed me it is indeed “Scavvies.”

The Scav Hunt list itself list is a hoot to read. There are many inside jokes, references to courses, etc. Scav is proof that fun does not come to die.

Yay, Scav! Just so you all know, I’ll be MIA for the rest of the week, as I’ll be turning in my CC hat in exchange for my place on Team Judge.
