Hey all!
I just wanted to share some quick things about myself. I was really stressed about the college application process. I mean really, REALLY stressed. I was so worried that I was not doing enough to boost my chances and I was worried that nobody would take me. I think lots of people can relate to these fears.
We all see things online telling us the average SAT score for schools, calling EC’s weak or strong, telling us that we need to take x number of AP classes or win X number of awards.
Well…
I took three AP classes throughout all of high school.
I sent my school a 660 subject test (Bio E.)
My SAT was a 1430, or a 1460 super scored.
I did not have legacy, or any advantage of that type.
I did not receive an interview, though I requested one.
And I was admitted Early Decision to Tufts University!!!
My point is, because other aspects of my application were really strong, it’s OKAY that some aspects of my application weren’t great (cough cough, test scores). Just do the best you can in whatever you do, and trust that it will all work out in the end. I sure wish I did.
