I got accepted to Rutgers School of Engineering and School of Arts and Sciences on the 17th of January, but I have not yet received any scholarship notifications. I believe almost everyone has got the scholarship notifications by now, but I cannot figure out why I haven't got any. It's really baffling me because my stats aren't that bad that I wouldn't receive a single penny. I have a 2140 SAT, good high school transcripts (no GPA; my high school in Bangladesh doesn't follow the GPA system, but my grades are all A's in 11th and 12th grade and mostly A's in 9th and 10th grades with only a couple of B's), ranked 1 out of 475 students, and decent ECAs. Maybe the Carr scholarship or Trustees scholarship would have been too much to expect given the high competition for them, but at least I should have been awarded the 3.5k Scarlett grant. Am I the only one, or are there people with similar stats who have received nothing at all from Rutgers?

And I submitted my application along with the essay on the 1st of December, so there were no concerns about missing the scholarship deadline.

Are you a US citizen? I think they only offer scholarships to US citizens.

I am US permanent resident. I just completed high school in Bangladesh and then moved here to USA. And according to the rutgers website, scholarships are awarded to US citizens as well as permanent residents.

Website also says that those who have been admitted in January usually receive notice of scholarships within three weeks. Today would be exactly three weeks from your admission. Key word there is usually, so maybe next week you could hear something.

Also, there are scholarships for international students (i.e. non US citizens), they are just for smaller amounts.

It’s alright! It doesn’t matter anymore. I received my Early Decision II acceptance from Tufts University just now !
If everything goes fine, I’ll be heading there.
Thanks anyway for your info Rhetorical13 :)
