I just got my December ACT, which is really, really low (28) and doesnt match with my SAT score (2020). Will Cal Poly choose my better score or will they factor both in consideration?

no they will only use your SAT scores

^poster is correct…they will consider your SAT score since it is higher. Why do you think that a 28 is so “low” though? I don’t think that is such a low score for Cal Poly…
Good luck to you!!

My son was accepted in engineering with a 27.

^gotpeter, what was your son’s gpa? My son is applying to ME and has a 28 on his ACT, but his gpa is on the lower side (3.55)…

akadavidsmom, it was 3.82 unweighted I think with AP classes in Physics and Calculus.

and he applied ED in Aerospace Engineering.

28 is not perfect, but its not bad either. i got a 27

I applied regular desicion for architecture though, and my scores are nowhere near Cal Poly’s statistics!

I think you’re ok einnob. As much as it’s a numbers game they consider other stuff. I got in ED with a 3.5, act 28, sat 1200 (M+CR) for chemistry.
Good luck!

geez u guys are smart. i dont think a 28 is low tho haha i got an 1850…and thaats kinda low. altho cal poly’s average, according to my counselor, is 1800. a girl i know got in with a 1600. soo ur fine.

I’ll be surprised if you get rejected with those scores.
