My sophomore year of high school I took a business class in community college, but ended up missing the final(went abroad) and got a D. I also got a W in another class for the same reason. So currently my gpa is 1.0 and I read that if I have to tell med schools about this classes I took.
I also doubt myself a lot - like I got B+ in pre-calc last semester because I failed the first test(didn;t do any hw) and got A's on all the other tests. I have an A---(90%) in class bacause of really stupid mistakes on tests (i lost 10 points because when i multiplied 1 and 1 I got -1) and I am afraid that If i don't get an A this semester there is no way I could have a chance of doing well in college.
How do I know if I am smart enough to get into med school?

I kind of feel like a loser posting this at 3 in the morning but I just need to ask…are you even in college yet?

^arez10 - I agree.

You sound like you’re freaking out about med school a little too soon. I apologize if I’m wrong about your age. But you just need to calm down, breath, and don’t freak out. Just because you get a B, or a bad grade cause you miss an exam doesn’t mean the end of the world. Just be careful from now on, and you’ll be fine. If you’re pulling A’s, even if they’re low, then you have potential to be great. Don’t doubt yourself.

If you can get the GPA and MCAT in real college, I bet they’ll be able to overlook your F in community college your sophomore year in high school.
