Have I met Language requirement?

I have not finished the language requirement. I think the only way I will fulfill it may be by testing out of it by the end of spring. My only other question is whether or not I fulfilled it in high school.

Even though I only took two years French (the max my school offered and on semester calendar), those two years appear comparable in instruction to the three years. It seems like it would satisfy the requirement which states: by receiving a grade of C- or higher in courses comparable to the third year level of any language other than the language of high school instruction.

How do I prove that the two years satisfy the third year level? Will I still have to take an exam to prove this?

I applied to Berkeley and UCLA. I am wondering what will happen if I do not fulfill the requirement by spring???

If you're doing IGETC, your CCC verifies that you've successfully completed the foreign language requirement, so talk to a counselor in your CCC about it. When I talked to mine about it, they only quickly checked my high school transcript for two years of a foreign language and told me I was ok

I guess the question is, which language requirement are you talking about?

If you're doing IGETC, you're golden. If not, it will vary by school. Need more info. (;

I wish was IGETC. I am at another UC. I guess I will talk to the French department or a counselor.

It's probably the admissions department you'll need to talk to. Good luck!

I hadn't thought of asking admissions. Thanks!
