So I know all my courses are met except for language. reason being is that I passed my Spanish 1 with c's and Spanish two the 1st semester with a c but failed the second with a D. Am I ineligible to apply to UC's and CSU's? I already know a second language but I have not been formally certified.

You need to complete high school level 2 or higher with a C or higher grade. Other options include college courses, AP test scores, or SAT subject test scores in Spanish.

Or you can show proficiency in your other language in a way that UCs and CSUs accept.

http://www.ucop.edu/agguide/a-g-requirements/e-language/index.html

No because you got an F both semesters in your visual art requirement (AP Art History). If you would have taken the AP exam for the class and had gotten a 3,4, or 5 then the requirement would have been fulfilled. You either need to retake AP Art History or take another visual art course.

Unfortunately you have to pass your two years of foreign language with a C or better to pass your A-
G’s.Take a look at what they have to say about a-g grades <a href=“Cal State Apply | CSU”>Cal State Apply | CSU; Is there any way you can take this course over again for a semester and then enter a UC or CSU in the spring? or as a transfer? For the UC’s you have to have a 3.0 (a-g’s) or better to be eligible unless you are an athlete ( note *some UC’s average GPA is over 4.0). 2.0 (a-g’s) or better to apply for the State schools. Keep in mind that you also have to submit your SAT or ACT score.

@tola2015 yes that would be true if i had not already taken painting freshman year and passed with B’s. And yes that is a Visual Arts course

@shadelz then why did you even bother taking AP Art History? And continue to take it second semester after you got an F first semester when you already had your art credit?

@shadelz just sign up to take the Spanish SAT subject test.

@tkpasq i have completed 3 semesters of a language and passed with Cs im asking if the second semester of my spanish two wont count because it was a D.

@tola2015 1.Because it was an AP and i had very limited options in Aps.
2. No beacuse i dont know spanish i said i know another language that language being armenian.

Even if you have all the UC/CSU a-g requirements, having 1 D and 2 F’s on your transcript for Sophomore and Junior year will hurt your GPA.  CSU’s and UC’s will only use Sophomore/Junior year grades in their GPA calculation. You need a minimum of 3.0 (weighted) UC GPA to qualify  to apply to the UC’s and even if you qualify, 6 out of the 9 campuses average GPA is a 4.0.  Your chances will be low for acceptance.  On your other thread, I sent you the link to calculate your CSU/UC GPA but here it is again <a href=“Cal State Apply | CSU”>Cal State Apply | CSU;
Check the UC application website for each campuses GPA/SAT/ACT scores to see how you compare. You can repost after the your calculations and get more feedback.
Regarding language, see the post from ucbalumunus and the link:

It doesn’t look like you will fulfill that requirement. The D semester will not count. There isn’t any way to certify Armenian that I can see. Ask your GC about that.
