Have I ruined my chances at the Ivy Leagues?

I'm a certified Native American girl and I am a sophomore. I have ADHD and I've had issues with bullying, but I am going to try to get the straight A's that I used to get in middle school. I am capable of working and achieving, but I have not worked to my full extent due to depression (as a result of being bullied), and ADHD.

By the time I apply to colleges senior year, I will hopefully have the following stats:
-6 AP classes: AP Gov, AP Lit, AP English, AP Spanish, AP Stats, AP Spanish, AP Bio
-3.5UW freshman year, ?? sophomore year (I was hoping for a 3.6UW but I might end up with a 3.5UW or so), 4.0UW junior year (so far, hopefully at the end of the year as well), 4.0UW first quarter senior year, and the rest of the year (hopefully). Depending how well I do this year, I might end up with a 3.65UW by the time I apply to colleges, or a 3.7UW if I work very hard for the rest of the year.
-I took the SAT's and received a 2360 and an 800 on two SAT II tests
-Member of NHS
-National Spanish Exam awards: bronze freshman year, silver both sophomore and hopefully junior year as well
-I have won a few poetry and essay contest (I love writing and plan to major in English, minor in political sciences)
-1,300+ combined community service hours at soup kitchen and a nursing home, and I've completed with other misc. projects
-I attended the Cornell secondary summer school program and received A's and college credits
-I am a cashier at a grocery store
-I am writing a novel
-I created a Q&A website for teens struggling with social issues
-I go to the #1 public school in my state
-I run track
-I'm founder of my school newspaper, captain of mock trial, and president of literary club

-I'll likely have great recommendations and an awesome essay

Hmm…there are really lots of great things in your resume, and you’re honestly far more competitive than i am, and I’m really sorry about the bullying stuff, but glad that you have found ways to work at it.

From what I’ve heard is that colleges basically ONLY look at credits and grades from sophomore year on up.

They really don’t usually bother with the stuff in middle school and even in 9th grade. Try to sort through your resume material again and only put stuff from high school. That will make the things you do appear more focused.

What do you want to do? What do you want to major in? What ivy school are you looking at particularly? And how does your ECs pinpoint your most important/greatest achievements and how do they reflect what you want to do in the future?

Ask yourself these questions and hopefully i was helpful in any kind of way :)

I want to major in English at Cornell, and minor in political sciences.

Well lets see… Native American female, 2360 SAT, decent ECs. You are in at at least one ivy, I honestly wouldn’t be surprised if you got into 3-4.

Thank you!!!

If you are a certified/registered Native American, you’ll have a very good chance at all the ivies.

I hope so!! My dream is Harvard… or Yale! Thank you :)

You should mention the bullying/ADHD/other hardships in your Common Application not so that the admissions staff will feel pity for you, but so that they get a whole picture of you and see that you have persevered through the hard times and have excelled academically and extracurricularly. Kudos to you on your very hard work and best of luck!

Thank you! I appreciate it.

Don’t feed the ■■■■■.

Whatttt? I’m not a ■■■■■.

Is the 2360 an achieved score or a dream you have?

I achieved a 2360 last June.

So you scored 2360 as a freshman?? Oh, how wonderful. Are you related to Elisabeth Warren?

Funny. I’ve been taking prep classes since 6th grade.

In the real world a real Native American with a pulse with a score 2000+ would get accepted at every school in the country. No need to worry.

Thank you  I hope so!
