Have no idea about my current situation.

I'd really like to know which colleges I may want to look into. I really don't want to just end up at NC State.

Everyone is always asking about getting accepted into college with good grades, but low SAT scores, I'm pretty much the opposite.

Mat-: 800
Verbal- 720
weighted GPA - 3.5 but my senior year grades are fantastic now that I'm actually applying myself (a bit late I guess.)
unweighted GPA - 3.0 ugh
Haven't taken any SAT 2's

ECs: played trumpet for the past seven years in the school band, no particular honors endowed, I consider myself fairly untalented. Two years of elected offices in Student Council, Sgt at arms and Senior Class President. One year as member of the political club. Started the SAT prep club this year, which helps kids prepare for the SATs, lots of tutoring practice with peers.

Parents were both lower class immigrants from Brazil, but have risen to fairly high end jobs. I speak portuguese at an adolescent's level, but have no problem translating what people say or write to english. My parents consider themselves hispanic, but I do not look the part whatsoever. I even have some African American heritage, my grandfather's grandfather was a slave, though I doubt that really matters.

I've always been fascinated with the more complex facets of chemistry, and have been considering pharmaceuticals as a possible career option.

Pharmacy is a great career offering steady employment and flexibility. Your second language would come in handy, too. Most schools of pharmacy are part of large state universities, and you seem to have good enough stats for the ones I know (Purdue and Wisconsin). There is a smaller, southern school called Samford that offers pharmacy. Do a google search and see what else you can come up with.
