Have not been contacted for an interview yet!

:(:(:(

Seems very late... I'm going to call because I'll be in Boston in March.

Submitted my app in the last week.

My interviewer didn’t specify specifically when the interview was due, but I assume it was around the end of February based on what my other interviewers (the Yale and Brown ones) said. So, it might actually be too late.

Harvard offers interviews to as many applicants as they can-- I’d think that someone living practically in the neighborhood of Harvard (relatively speaking, I’m in New Orleans) would get one for sure.

By “in the last week” you mean by January 1st, right?

The application was due over a month ago how could you have possibly submitted it last week? Unless by “in the last week” you meant “the last week before January 1st,” or your applying for transfer.

I just got my Penn interview only a couple days ago if that helps.

Haha I said “Submitted my app in the last week” i.e. last week of December. I said that because my app may or may not be “at the bottom of the pile,” and so alum’s have yet to contact me.

rainbow when’d you submit your penn app?

I’m going to be feeling awful if I don’t get an interview… I understand they don’t have time for everyone, but obviously they are going to pick most from the highest scorers.

I submitted my Penn app like 2 weeks early. I submitted my Harvard app later (like 2 days before the deadline) and had my interviewer contact me about 2 weeks before my Penn interviewer did. It’s all dependent on the number of alumni from each school in your area.

Ugh I’m feeling really pessimistic about my interview at the moment!:(

I sent mine in at approximately 11:59 PM January 1st. Got my interview email a week later, had the interview on MLK day.

Did you make sure to check your spam email? Harvard interviews everyone they can (no discrimination), and I’m sure there are a ton of alumni in the NJ area.

Is it possible to setup an interview with an alumni I know? i.e. have them contact Harvard/the alumni organization and schedule, etc? Perhaps I should call…

It’s a terrible idea to interview with someone you know…also, does this said alum normally do interviews? Some regional clubs require potential interviewers to go through some sort of training process…

I know an alumni on a personal basis, and another on a “know of” (not personal) basis. He would be willing to interview me… perhaps this would give a break to the admissions committee, and guarantee me an interview?

I don’t care what is said about how interviews do not hurt applications, if I don’t have an interview then my application won’t be further benefited and that IS a loss.

I haven’t been contacted for an interview either. Does anyone know when interview reports are due from the alumni? I heard from one person that it was January 31st which would mean it’s too late… Has anyone had an interview in the month of February?
