"Decision letters for Regular Decision applicants will be mailed by both mail and e-mail by April 1. Decisions will not be available on our Web site."

does anyone know if the e-mail's subject was like "congratulations!" or just "your columbia decision" (if accepted)

Well, you can check the status of your application (see what kind of documents they have received, etc) through the ID. Just call up Columbia and get it.

oh is that how everyone else got there IDs? di dyou all have to call?

my daughter received an email from columbia, containing her login code, because we were missing some financial aid docs. the email indicated they were missing docs and if she was accepted, the financial aid office wanted to make sure they would be able to include her financial information with her acceptance. the deadline they gave her was 3/11/2005.

I never got my ID, even though I sent in Part I of the app in October, so I called sometime in January and got it.

Ooh didn't know decisions were by email...good to know. That's really helpful actually, so I don't go online and start refreshing the decision site for five hours.

I don't think decisions are via email. the email my daughter received was requesting additional information.
