RonakPat, you are absolutely in at MSU (unless you forget to submit your transcripts to them or something silly like that). In fact, your stats qualify you for MSU’s honors college.

That’s great to know! How do I apply for the honors college though?

Oh, and it says on the website that I have everything submitted! No silly mistakes!

^^There is no application. You will get an honors college invitation either with your acceptance letter or soon after - if you accept, you are in the honors college.

on the application form, when it asks about educational institutes, do I still fill it out if i’m in high school?

What are some of the things that people do to keep busy? How are the inter-mural sports?

Also, do you see a bunch of longboards up there, I might take mine instead of a bike next year.

Intramural sports are really big - we have a pretty athletic campus with lots of people interested in watching and playing sports here.

There are a few skateboarders, not many but why not? The one thing is, it gets pretty crowded during common passing periods between classes so you might not be able to get around other walkers and bikers very easily.

In terms of things to do in general to keep busy- I’d say watching sports (MSU basketball and football mostly), playing sports (IM or just with friends), going to campus center cinemas (free movie showings on campus), going to parties, joining organizations (for any academic or social interest) and hanging out with friends are probably the biggest ones. Every week they have all sorts of events going on campus - UAB (University activities board) is responsible for setting up all sorts of events, as well as RHA (Residence hall association) and ASMSU (associated students of MSU - the student government). They hold concerts, comedians, and other pretty fun events going on. Resident mentors and intercultural aides within the residence halls also set up interactive programs of all sorts if you are living in the dorms.

do we need to send 7th semester grades now? i’ve already sent my app…do they want counselor letters too? thanks!

Trying this thread because I got no reply when I started my own–haha.

I applied to MSU online at the end of August. I am undecided about my major, and I wasn’t sure which school to apply to but I like biology, so I chose “School of Natural Science, No Major.”

I have a 3.7 GPA at a college prep high school, and got a 24 on my ACT. Today I was informed that MSU wants my 7th semester grades. I called the admissions office and changed my major to undecided (I didn’t know this option was available on the app; I thought you HAD to pick a school to apply to).

My question is, will the admissions board be informed of my change of major? Admissions says one of the determining factors in the process is the “availability of space in the desired academic program.” Now I’m worried that they are including my being in the college of Natural Science as a determing factor of my being accepted.

Anyone have any knowledge of this kind of situation? I would REALLY appreciate any help.

How competitive is premed at MSU and would I be disadvantaged in any way by attending MSU over U of M as a premed? (opportunities to attend good med school, etc.)

And I know MSU has a BS/DO combined program, but it also has an MD program correct? I have never heard of MSU med school so I’m not sure…

I applied to MSU, im from Orlando (my teacher taught there some years back), my GPA is a 3.0 and I’m waiting for a acceptance decision and I applied Oct 12. no response yet. how long does it take to get a response?

If you get a PIN you get accepted? I just got a PID and i always check my application status and it changed when i logged in, instead of my usual stuff that only shows the usual list of things that they got, its all different now idk how to describe it, the top page says “welcome spartan”, PLEASE respond. and btw im from Orlando
