Have the decisions been made?

OH MY GOD! That's horrible...can you imagine opening an acceptance letter and the next day opening one that says "We apologize to inform you that your acceptance occurred by mistake"...well, not quite those words...but the concept is the same

Yeah, that would be awful. Just imagine: one day, you are telling all your friends and family that you got into Harvard... the next day, you have to tell them that it was a mistake.

No, I've never heard of any school doing that. They'd probably get sued for something or other if they did that.

The closest I've ever heard of anything like that was at UC Davis about 3 years ago. By clerical error in the admissions office they sent acceptance letters to several dozen kids who were supposed to get denials. They then had so send out second letters explaining the error and telling tham that they were really denied and not accepted. But I've never heard of a school just chaniging their minds after a real acceptance letter went out. They honor their commitments. The only exceptions are those cases where the senior grades take a sharp drop, or lies or fraud on the app were found out, or the student commits a crime, or some other form of misbehavior.
