Hi so im finishing up at community college and graduated with a 3.5 GPA and i want to go and be an OT. I will be transferring to stony brook university for my undergrad. After that i want to start applying. Right now i have a 100 volunteer hours and i have been a PT aide for 3 years . Is a 3.5
Good as of now? I want to apply to at least 10
Schools and i found about 11 or 12 that dont require the GRE. Will i at least get into 1 or 2 schools?
We can’t say for sure whether or not you’d get into a few schools, of course, but right now you are on the right track. Being a PT’s aide is the kind of work experience that OT programs look for from competitive candidates, and if you already have 100 hours you already have more than the minimum at most programs.
Why are you only looking at schools that don’t require the GRE? You don’t want a four-hour test to be the determinant of where you get your career started.
