Have to declare major when applying?

Or do you just have to apply to a specific school?

You can apply undecided.

you must apply to a specific school. Engineering, business, college or nursing. You can also apply to a dual degree program (Huntsman program, Jerome Fisher, etc) and then, if rejected, be evaluated for an individual school.

I went to the UPenn info session & tour today, and they said you don’t have to declare a major when applying. You do have to state, like as mentioned, which school you are applying though. The admissions officer told me that they don’t expect applicants to state a major because apparently 80% of the students change it sometime during their time at UPenn. I know, it’s a pretty large percentage, but supposedly true.
