Have to get over 2100, any help?

Hi all. I'm gonna make this a quick question so that people won't be bored reading a 1000+words long essay on why I decided to study the so late.

I was an IB student, but came back to my home country due to my mother's deteriorating health, and couldn't finish my IB curriculum, unfortunately. Got a GPA of 4.27 (out of 4.47-ish) and 118 on TOEFL. (FYI, I left my school right after first quarter of my junior year.)

I'm currently trying to apply to Waseda SILS (Study of International Liberal Studies,) and they said I have to get either IB predicted score, SAT, or ACT in order to apply. IB is something that I had to give up a year ago, and ACT, something I've never thought of.

So, I decided to try out the SAT, and took a test in November. Here is what I have;
CR: 590, M: 670, W: 550 (55,8)

It may seem like a terrible score for a senior student to get this kind of score (I currently live in a non-English speaking country) but I've only spent couple of weeks before my first test. Do you guys think I can achieve a score of 2100 or above, if I dig into SAT until January 26th? (btw, our school will be on a vacation from this Wednesday till early february, so I've got plenty of free time.)

And as always, thanks for your help.

Easily if you take it seriously, as determination is crucial in succeeding on a standardized test.

2 months and ~300+ points… unlikely, but possible. If you set yourself a schedule, focus, and have specific goals (ex. brush up on triangle side lengths, subject/verb agreements, whatever) for each session, it could be achievable. Get the Collegeboard Blue Book (if you don’t already have it), and do one weekly until your test. Analyze the answers and be sure to understand why/how they’re correct.

Haha, thanks for your tips :)

I knew it would be hard to pull off +300 in two months… But I will give it a try.
I already have the blue book, and tried four practice tests. I think I might need more lol

Should I use the Barron’s book, or Princeton’s book for improving my writing and CR score??

You should buy section specific books. I recommend PWN the SAT and Grubber for Math.

I’m sorry, but what does PWN stand for?
I googled it, and only saw an website.

search “pwn the sat” on amazon

Aight. Will do.

Study is the most important thing

practice practice practice
get the blue CB book and do all the practice tests TIMED

You can definetly raise your score by 300 easily. I raised my score by 500 in a week. I practiced for like 6 hours each day tho

Have you considered a prep course? Or tutoring? Personally, I found it quite helpful in raising my score by 360 points in 6 weeks–more on that here: http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/15108531-post96.html</a>
Of course, it all depends on what your study style is. I agree with lldm21 that doing regular practice tests and going over your mistakes is important; it familiarizes you with the test.
