Have to send all SAT scores to colleges?

Hello- so I took the ACT four times and am happy with my score. However, I also took the state-mandated SAT (since I was forced to) and I likely did not do as well on that as I did on the ACT. I know some schools require that all SAT scores be sent, but if I don’t want to send ANY SAT scores (just ACT) then do I have to send my SAT? Basically- is the “we want all SATs rule” voided if you send JUST the ACT and not the SAT at all? And would I then have to send all four of my ACTs to these “we want all SATs” colleges?

Right now, my top two schools are Northwestern and Michigan, who I do not believe request all SATs or all ACTs (correct me if I’m wrong). However, I may decide to apply to some more schools that could require all tests be sent.

check with the colleges

But if they say we require all SATs, but you’re not sending and SATs (just ACT), do you have to send your SATs then? @annamom

Neither NU or UMich needs all score, however, it would not hurt if you do send all in. Sending all previous scores is actually the default if you do not exercise score choice. As you pay for each school submission, you can choose whichever way for each school when you submit the orders.
