Have you done ANYTHING to help the environement?

......thats what I thought, now shut the %&@# up

The other day I was in my colleges Science Building and I tried looking for a recycling bin/holder/container/etc... and after about 5 minutes I said oh well and just threw it away in some random trash bin.

I'll recycle if it's convenient, but most of the time, I don't really go out of my way to recycle.

Earth Hour, only because I was forced too

lol @ environement

I always doing stuff for the environment. Why is this funny?

I recycle regularly, I don't drive barely at all, I do creek clean ups where I live, and I actually know how to spell environment, among others.

To all you people who don't give a rip, good luck. I hope you know you are partially responsible for the demise of our planet.

My family buys all organic food. I use public transit to get to the U and libraries sometimes.

I use compact fluorescent bulbs!

...more because they're just better, but we can count that in.

Dunno how much I've helped. I might join the environmental committee next year. They help the school become more energy efficient etc.

Other than that, I'm not doing much to harm the environment. I turn off the lights in my room whenever possible, and my computer probably consumes the most amount of energy :P

I work in the oil industry; I do my part.

I contribute to the nitrogen cycle. Regularly. :p

I regularly turn oxygen into carbon dioxide.

i try to fart less.

I recycle anything that is allowed to recycle and I get rid of food waste by throwing it in the forest conservation area in my backyard. I also live in a subdivision that has a forest conservation area. Basically the only things I throw in the trash are things that cannot be recycled and cannot be biodegraded in a natural compost heap.

I drive a small, fuel efficient car (I had no choice).
I pick up after myself when I go to the outdoor shooting range (the brass is worth something especially if you reload it).
Basically the only thing that I throw

i put people that think their better than everybody else because they recyle into my compost heaps, because people are biodegradable. they help make my tomatoes especially juicy.

haha
I'm cheap, that's how I save the environment. :P

The freshmen at my school have started this weird fundraiser/environment thing. They put boxes in every classroom and people throw all their unwanted paper in the boxes.

When I heard about it, I was like "You mean they don't recycle paper if it's thrown in the blue recycling bin?" Everyone else just shrugged.

i picked up a bottle on the floor and recycled it this one day

OMG FUNNY STORY
so in middle school we used to have this collecting soda can tabs thing and to recycle them right? so to win this "game" you know what we do--we would open soda cans, dump out the soda, throw out the aluminum can, and take the tab! wow that just totally defeats the purpose doesn't it!

I don't drive, ever, and I don't own a car. (I'm 18)

I don't eat red meat, and I eat fish and poultry sparingly.

Our house is built by one of the more green builders in the area. We recycle all paper and plastic. We have cfl bulbs. We have a prius hybrid. We have very little mileage as we don't use the cars exstensivly. My parents don't eat meat, while i do eat but no too much. Every appliance is an energy star appliance.
BTW my family is a conservative one which does not follow and agree with all the environmentalism stuff. Its just funny that the person who is arguing with us about global warming and how we must save the planet etc drives of in a car that gets like 15 mpg, while my parents then go drive of in their prius which get 40+mpg. Kinda ironic in my op. lol.

i'm vegan and usually eat organic, use fluorescent compact light bulbs, ALWAYS recycle even when it's super inconvenient, buy only all-natural cleaning and beauty products, buy organic and/or recycled clothing, shoes, and bags, and use public transportation as much as possible.
and plan to make one of my major career goals to repair the uberdamage we've done to our poor planet.
