Have you ever been to Walmart, if so how often?

I NEVER go to Walmart. I have been about 10 times total in my whole life, and half of those times were with people other than my family.

There’s a hot guy who works at wal-mart where I live.

Sometimes when you don’t have that much money you have to take what you can get. I wouldn’t say that people with not a lot of money are lower in intelligence because that is probably one of the least intelligent things I could ever have heard/read.

What??? Buying carpets made by enslaved Indian children is unethical??? NO WAY

Probably thousands of times. We don’t have any other big stores here, no Targets etc.

Although I agree that walmart is unethical and shopping at walmart hurts our economy…thats a completely different conversation

"Seriously, how can you go that place. Are you all really that cheap/poor? "

I find that statement to be extremely offensive. Although i personally dont like going to walmart just because I dont like the atmosphere(or the economic detriment to our country it causes), nobody should ever feel they are superior in any way because your wealth allows you to choose other more expensive outlets for your shopping nature. Some people are ,yes, poor and have no other way of providing for themselves except to shop at these low prices. Much of middle America also shops there just because of the affordability it provides for them. You say you are afraid because of the devastatingly stupid actions of "middle class America’ that the “elite” company that you are apart does not participate in is the death to all of America.

Just because you were raised in a milieu of privilege doesnt mean that you are of higher status than people of lower socioeconomic class because I promise you; with the attitude that you portray over this forum, you are no better of a man than me

COMPLETELY INCORRECT

There is an extremely high correlation between intelligence and wealth. Extremely high. In fact, I think anyone who is intelligent can become wealthy IMO. The only ones who aren’t wealthy remain at their social class due to personal choice. (Which I have no problem with.) However smart people can make money if they want to.

And I’d also like to add that I discriminate based on intelligence. And I believe it is completely moral to do so.

Oh great. A holier than though individual. Congrats for being so PC.

I am not. If something is screwing up this country and hilariously immoral I will call people out for their actions. The truth is shopping at Walmart is not a necessity for middle americans like you are pretending. It is a choice. Nobody (unless you live in previously mentioned middle of nowhere) has to shop at Walmart to survive.

I do too, because I find those of lower intelligence to be rather boring…

I only hope to be as intelligent as people like Donald Trump and Paris Hilton!

I hate to agree with the Baltimoron, but Walmart is awful. You shouldn’t go there.

I shop at Walmart for the candy, and if there are good deals. In this economic recession, I will save couple hundred bucks shopping at Wal mart. Screw you and your holier than thou morality.

You’ll have to forgive me if I don’t cruise around the suburban small businesses in my mom’s Prius Hybrid drinking a bottle of Vitamin Water while complaining about how the giant corporations and hypocritical higher social classes are destroying what made this country great in the first place.

I just “outsourced” chocolate, and cans of coke. I’m so evil…

I almost never shop at Wal-Mart because I believe it is unethical. The only time I have gone there is if there is an item there that I can’t find at other stores.

Well, I don’t think cheap Chinese labor is what made this country great. Nor is the death of small business.

Actually I don’t have a nice car but I do love Vitamin Water.

And you can hate on me all you want but dumb people don’t need to procreate.

People, just go to jibjab and watch Big Box Mart. It is 100% accurate.

But like I said. The types of people who are suffering the most from Walmart are the types of people who shop at Walmart. It’s a crazy dynamic.

What do you classify as a dumb person? Is an illiterate country person who can easily fix your car better than you ever could a dumb person?

Isaac Asimov is one of my favorite writers, read this essay by him:
[What Is Intelligence Anyway? by Isaac Asimov | Wanderings](What Is Intelligence Anyway? by Isaac Asimov | Wanderings)

Walmart+Food+Hardware chains=my hometown

it’s unavoidable :/

There is always a place in America for less intelligent people because we will always need people to do the blue collar work that makes the lives of others run smoothly

Although I wish for our education system to better itself so that will can have a more intelligent population(which leads to a more intelligent constituency of voters so that will not elect people of the merits of George W. Bush and President Obama and maybe actually fix this country), our country would just never be able to function if every person is intelligent enough to go for those high paying white collar jobs because nobody would be willing to do the dirty work(which is why more illegal immigrants are stealing all of the service jobs in this country etc.)

Intelligence doesn’t have anything to do with literacy. But being a mechanic requires very little intelligence. You could train a monkey to be a semi-decent mechanic.

But then again occupation doesn’t always display intelligence. Some jobs like doctor or lawyers would represent intelligent people. But a garbageman isn’t necessarily dumb.

However, everyone can identify an unintelligent person. There is no single way to define them but mental capacity does exist. Some have larger mental capacities than others.
